What do you wear to a press conference?
The whole staff was running around yesterday trying to figure out what to wear tomorrow morning? (BTW....the store will be opening at noon tomorrow to accommodate) In order to get some inspiration and distract my mind for the insurmountable task at hand, I checked out some of the photos of yesterday's opening of the annual Cannes film festival. Much to my delight, Alec Baldwin absolutely blew me away with his navy blue tuxedo, clean white shirt and black bow tie, all courtesy of Ermenegildo Zegna. Superb sir!

This last week Lagerfeld did it again, this time in the garden at Versailles! The collection had a ton of attitude mixed in with the lines classics. What a venue and a perfect day for the show. I don't think Karl would have let it rain!

This last week The Met held it's annual Costume Gala, and per usual the pickings were spectacular! Florals and encrusted baubles seemed to be a requirement as the invitees fluttered down the red carpet. *Chose not to include any faces of the stars because what do we care about.....the clothes!
Things of beauty...
...are all very much the same. They take a ton of thought, preparation, and consideration of detail. After those precautions are taken, it takes so much time to enact all the subtleties. Whether it be a car that turns heads or a pair of shoes and draws ones eyes down, the devil is in the details.
