Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's: Meet Jordan Hill

Today as a part of Behind The Seams with A.K. Rikk's series we’d like to introduce our Personal Shopper, Jordan Hill. He has been a part of our family for almost five years. Jordan's love for customer service and fashion is shown through his dedication to providing his clients with the right pieces to enhance their style. As he states, "Style showcases your individuality. My mission is to figure out my clients style and where they draw inspiration from. I am then able to show them the right designers to have them always feeling their absolute best." Get to know what Jordan's favorite trend of the moment is and what he finds most intriguing about fashion through a series of questions in our ninth Behind The Seams with A.K. Rikk's interview.

The first designer piece you ever bought?

The first designer piece of clothing was a pair a Nudie Jeans. I am a huge denim fan - but to be honest, before Nudies I hated wearing jeans. Jeans are such a staple in a persons wardrobe and to have a pair that you don't 100% love is a shame! And let me tell you, I love my Nudie Jeans!

What about fashion, style, and clothes intrigue you?

The most intriguing thing about clothing and style is the story behind each piece - from where the designers source the fabrics, to the inspiration behind that season, and finally to who buys the piece. Each piece of clothing has a purpose and I find it amazing when the story is told by the people who wear it.

What does style mean to you?

Style means individuality. The ability to express yourself through clothing is so important. Every day is different and every day we have another opportunity to change our style. The most important rule is you feel amazing about yourself.

Who's your style muse?

Ryan Gosling, I enjoy seeing how he always has a classic yet somewhat casual look to him. His style looks very natural.

Favorite Brand?

Billy Reid. The brand holds onto its strong southern roots but with a touch of luxury.

Favorite trend of the moment?

The frayed jean hem. I'm not one to normally jump on the band wagon but this trend has me sold. As I said, I love denim and it's another way I can wear it throughout the seasons.

How would you define your style?

My style is very boot and jean heavy with a touch of rustic classic. I like mixing it up here and there but I find I am most comfortable in boots and jeans.

What influences your style?

My style influences are Michigan, American heritage, and Southern Italy.

That concludes this Behind The Seams with A.K. Rikk's series interview. Next time you shop with us make sure you say "Hi" to Jordan! If you love Jordan's style and would like him to help you express yours – schedule a complimentary Personal Shopping appointment below.
