Today, as a part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's series, we would like to introduce you to our Personal Shopper and Stylist, Dr. Cad W. Shannon. Cad has recently joined the A.K. Rikk's family and we are so happy to have him on the sales floor showing products, building relationships and helping clients become the best version of themselves. 

What initially drew you to A.K. Rikk's?

 The atmosphere here at A.K. Rikk’s was classy, fun and creative.

What is your favorite part of working at A.K. Rikk's so far?

 I’ve enjoyed learning about the different brands and the purpose behind each designer. 

What have you learned this week at work?

I’ve learned that clients truly trust the personal shoppers and develop great relationships with them. 

When you're not at work, what could we find you doing?

Resting at home. 

If you could spend an hour in the company of any famous person, living or deceased, who would it be? And why?

Martin Luther king. He's truly an inspiration. 

What fashion craze/trend do you think is silly? 

Bell bottoms!

What is your power color? Meaning, what color do you wear most or gravitate towards or seem to feel the best in?  

Navy blue!

Which types of clothes do you collect?

Comfortable and classic pieces. 

 How do you get out of the I-don’t-have-anything-to-wear rut?  

I simply become creative with what I have.  

Favorite season to dress for? Why?

Fall because I love sweaters.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

 Being late. 

What’s the most unusual thing you’ve done lately? 

Started drinking espresso coffee 

What is something that you learned about yourself this year? 

I'm not afraid to start new things.

If you could lose yourself for one day, where would you go and what would you do? 

I would go to Italy and enjoy the food.

If you were able to relive a day in your life, which day would that be and why? 

I would relive the day where I was watching my daughters being born.

Most treasured possession? 

My daughters. 

Best advice you’ve ever been given? 

Making mistakes is acceptable, not learning from isn't.

What is your most used emoji?

The smiley face.

Last time you were moved to tears or joy and why?

It was when my daughters graduated from college.
