Today as a part of our Behind the Seams with A.K. Rikk's series, we would like to introduce you to the latest addition to our Personal Styling Team, Doug Smith. Doug is back and better than ever! Learn about what he is most excited about this year and what makes him tick in his Behind the Seams interview! 

What are you most excited about this year at A.K. Rikk's?

I am really excited to experience all of the change and growth that the store has made while I was gone!  

What did you miss about A.K. Rikk's while you were gone? 

My people. Like the clothes, the building- all of this could be re-created everywhere else but the in-store experience you can't find anywhere. It's the people you work with and the people you serve that you can't find anywhere else in the world. I am so excited to be back! 

If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would you have at your table? And why?

That's a tough one because there's so many Kardashians to choose from. Mariah Carey because she's so over the top it's hilarious. I'd ask her "Why are you wearing that? We're just at Chilis!" Steve Jobs because he's a game changer and an innovator. I would like to change the game. The last seat would either be Justin Bieber or Selena Gomez because I have so many questions. They were supposed to end up together. P.S. if Justin or Selena see this, feel free to direct message me your answers. 

What is your favorite part of working in the Fashion Industry?

I think that fashion is a great and powerful way to communicate and express yourself. It's honestly amazing that we get to have fun and do what we love at the same time everyday! 

If you could only wear one brand for the rest of your life, what brand would you choose?

Brunello Cucinelli because they do it all. Suiting? Check. Casual? Check. Shoes? Check. Leather goods? Check. Have you seen their stuff? Like hello!!
